Fame Partnering in Medical Evangelism

1 out of every 10 people in the world walks more than three hours each day just to seek medical care. In fact, it takes about 2 million miles per person to travel from one end of the globe to another. And while many of us take our health for granted, there are millions of people living in poverty without access to basic healthcare.

That’s why we launched the #Walk4Health campaign – to raise awareness about the global burden of disease and to inspire everyone to do something about it.

We believe that everyone deserves to live long, healthy lives. But because of lack of resources, people in developing countries often don’t receive the healthcare they deserve. So we want to change that.

By partnering with local churches, we can give away medicines and medical supplies to communities in need. This includes giving away free medicine and medical supplies to people in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Caribbean.

You can partner with us too! If you know someone who could use some extra support, please ask them to join us. Together, we can make a difference.

A woman shared in a video how Lifelines for Families, a service provided by Catholic Charities in Tell Town, came to her aid during a recent storm. In the video, she explains that she had been without power for three days because of severe weather conditions. She says that she called Lifelines for Families and asked what assistance it could provide. The organization sent out a volunteer who helped her find a gas station where she could charge up her car. Afterward, the volunteer gave her some food and water.

Lifeline for Families provides emergency shelter, clothing, household items, transportation and financial support to families affected by disasters such as tornadoes, floods, fires, hurricanes, ice storms and winter storms. The organization serves people across 13 counties in central and southern Indiana.

The organization receives funding from United Catholic Appeal: Christ our Hope. Contributions are used to help those in need in the areas served by Lifeline for Families.
